SYNOPSIS: Gabriela Rose is a recovery agent, a person whose job it is to find lost or stolen items. She is on a mission to fulfill a family destiny and save her hometown from going under after a hurricane destroyed most homes and buildings. Her only hope is to find the Seal of Solomon, which is possibly treasure, possibly just legend, and possibly haunted by a demon god. Along with her ex-husband and oldest friend, Gabriela adventures all over the world to find the piece of missing treasure.

MY THOUGHTS: As a young adult, I loved Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum Series. So when I picked this new series up, I had high hopes. Just as before, the characters were quirky and the story was thoroughly entertaining. If Stephanie Plum and Indiana Jones had a baby, it would be the main character, Gabriela Rose, and I wasn’t mad about it. That being said, if you are looking for beautiful writing and descriptive prose, this is not your book. This one is all about adventure and thrills without frills.

👀Lookout for BOOK 2 in the series, The King’s Ransom, coming out later this year! 🌟
