Providing book reviews from a couple of bookaholics
SYNOPSIS: Several years later, Millie the housemaid is back again for more trouble, mystery, and murder! This is the second book in the Housemaid series, with the third book coming out in June 2024. This time, Millie gets what she thinks is an amazing job in a penthouse apartment for the Garrick’s. While she is very thankful for a paid job with her background, she is also getting those tingly senses on the back of neck that tells her something isn’t right. Mrs. Garrick is not to be disturbed in the guest bedroom, but when Millie notices blood that leads to her bedroom, she starts to see things differently. Millie only wants to help, but how will she get her client out of this relationship this time?
MY THOUGHTS: After over a year since I read The Housemaid, I was so excited to get back into this thriller series! I devoured the first book, so I hoped this would be the same. While this book was nowhere near as horrific or terrifying, it still had those twists and turns Freida McFadden is known for! I listened to this book, and appreciated the fast pace. Because I have read a few of her books now, I pretty much figured this one out about half way through, but I don’t seem to mind knowing the ending while reading these addictive books! Another win, so I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the third (and final) installment this summer!
